Inauguration of Permanent IVV Trail in CALPE

The community of Calpe as well as the newly founded IVV club, Carnaval Club Calpe, invited Mr. Josef GIGL, IVV President, and Mr. Raymond CLAUDE, IVV Vice-President to Calpe to introduce their future walking activities. The responsible persons of the club were interested in getting further information on particular IVV rules as well as the support of the IVV with the community mainly for the signposting of the permanent trail.

The mayor and the responsible persons in the community turned out to be very cooperative so that on Friday, April 3rd the first permanent trail in Calpe could be inaugurated by the mayor, the IVV presidents and attending guests of honour and walkers.

Special thanks go to Mr. Günter Jahn and Mr. Günter Kappus, also Mr. Rainer Straubel of the Calpe weekly news, for the organization and foundation of the new IVV club.

They agreed to help with organizing a Spanish IVV association in the Costa Blanca region.
